Terms of Use

Effective June 2026. This page is informational and is not legal advice. A qualified lawyer should review it for your jurisdictions before launch.

These terms govern your use of the Slackwater app and website, published by Handler Labs LLC. By using Slackwater you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app, and these terms add to it.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Slackwater on your Apple devices for your own use. You agree not to copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows.

Subscriptions and purchases

Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. You can manage or cancel in Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Safety disclaimer

Tide and solunar predictions in Slackwater are estimates for reference only. They are not for navigation or life-safety decisions. Conditions on the water can differ from any prediction. Always consult official NOAA tide tables and nautical charts, and use your own judgment. You are responsible for your safety and that of anyone with you.

No warranty

Slackwater is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that predictions are accurate or that the app will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Handler Labs LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Slackwater, including any reliance on a prediction. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Data sources

Tide predictions are computed from NOAA CO-OPS harmonic data, which is US-government public data. An optional marine weather feature, when enabled, uses a third-party weather service. Solunar windows are astronomical computation.
